LVOE by Atticus

The book LVOE by Atticus

So. I hate this.

I don’t love it or lvoe it.

I find this style of poetry shallow, but this book is incredibly trite. I think Atticus is still trying to build off of the very loved, often quoted “love her but leave her wild” line (which is in this book, of course) — it would be better to leave that as the Instagram quotable success it was, and put more thought into further poetry.

I would’ve eaten this up as a university kid, though, so there’s that. I am decidedly not the Atticus demographic. If you’re 20-something or younger you might lvoe it. I’m too old and crotchety and I would like Atticus to get off my lawn.

Thank you to Edelweiss and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest (maybe too honest) review.
