I’m a bit of a lotion hater. I’ll use it, especially when my skin feels dry, but I always feel bothered by that lotion-y feeling that sticks around on my hands after applying it. Even light lotions can irk me a bit! So, I was intrigued by the Live Clean Sheer Light Skin Perfecting Dry Body Oil that showed up in my mailbox recently — I’ve used dry oils before and find that they absorb more readily, both into my body and off of my hands.

This is a nice big bottle of oil! It doesn’t take a lot of product to moisturize, either, so I’m guessing this bottle would last for quite some time. It’s convenient to use, and seems to be okay to use on both my body and facial skin, which is nice. I can apply it post-shower and not worry about walking around waiting for it to sink in before I can get dressed, always nice when I’m in a rush (which is… pretty much always).
We are Live Clean fans in this household because of the high-quality, natural ingredients they use. In the case of the dry oil, those ingredients include a mix of all kinds of beneficial oils. There’s safflower oil, argan oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, and sesame oil. You’d think with all of those oils that your skin might feel greasy, but it really does leave a silky finish — no dry skin, but none of that drenched-in-product feeling, either.
My skin is usually calmer in summer than winter, so I haven’t been able to see the soothing effects of this oil yet. Live Clean says it can help with irritation, redness, and the appearance of scars and marks (there is Vitamin C and E in the oil too!), so I’m looking forward to using it as we transition into colder weather.
Like Live Clean’s other products, this dry pol is plant derived, dye-free, vegan, preservative free, hypoallergenic and free of petroleum, paraben, silicone, and phthalate. There is no mineral oil in it either, which is important as mineral oil can clog pores and contain toxins. Overall, this is another great natural product from Live Clean! You can find it at Walmart and Loblaws.
Thanks to Live Clean for providing me with this product to review! All opinions are my own.
