Baby’s First Halloween

I feel like I’m perpetually trying to catch up, these days! I know Halloween was last week but I couldn’t resist sharing a photo of M in her kitty costume. Last year we had a tiny skeleton sleeper just in case she decided to arrive early, but we all know how that turned out. This year, then, was her very first Halloween.

I was just going to dress her up in her hand-me-down ladybug costume but I saw this kitty up on a consignment site for which I had credit and bought it. Turns out its a bunting bag costume (how is that possibly something that could fit from 0-12 months?!) so Matt had to cut leg holes into the bottom and sew it up before Friday.

M is too little for trick-or-treating so we took her out to say hi to a few friends then came home. Shockingly, both the candy AND the bowl I left in front of our house were still there when we came back! We didn’t get many kids this year, which surprised me, but it worked out well because M was exhausted and attempting to sleep by the time the last few stragglers were knocking.

I’m excited for next year, when she may be able to go around to houses in our little neighbourhood!

She is so adorable and it’s so appropriate that she was a cat! If it fits her for a while, you can let her play dress up.

Good idea! The sleeves will probably be too short, soon, but it’ll fit for a bit longer!
